8:37 a.m.: Medical assistance was needed at Crocker Farm School on West Street for a 6- or 7-year-old student with a history of crises. The student was combative and was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital. A parent was on the scene.

9:42 a.m.: There were public notifications issued for four Level 3 sex offenders.

2:02 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed for an 80-year-old male experiencing chest pain at Ann Whalen on Kellogg Avenue. He was transported by the Amherst Fire Department.

2:55 p.m.: Shoplifting occurred at CVS Pharmacy on North Pleasant Street. The shoplifter was uncooperative, but the merchandise was recovered.

4:17 p.m.: An open house sign was stolen from the Masonic Temple on Main Street.

6:05 p.m.: There was a disabled motor vehicle by Oriental Flavors on South Pleasant Street. The vehicle would not start and had to be moved before it received further help.

7:06 p.m.: A gray 1999 Nissan Sentra Base XE was vandalized on Jason Court. The markings on the car are consistent with being keyed, and the lug nuts on the tires were loosened.

11:18 p.m.: There was a motor vehicle crash on South East Street between a white Honda Civic and a gray Honda Civic. The white Honda driver did not stop for the red light and collided with the gray Honda. The gray Honda was not drivable and was towed by Ernie’s Towing. A male passenger in the gray Honda complained of back pain but refused help from the Emergency Medical Service.

Saturday, April 12

12:35 a.m.: There was a fight by Stackers Pub on North Pleasant Street. A person was denied access to the pub because of their level of intoxication. They punched the glass after an argument with a bouncer and suffered a gash to the head.

1:12 a.m.: There was a disturbance by Antonio’s Pizza on North Pleasant Street. There was verbal abuse toward pedestrians by parties standing outside.

1:21 a.m.: Mathew Driscoll of Concord was arrested for disorderly conduct on Main Street after jumping onto the roof of a moving motor vehicle right in front of a police cruiser.

1:40 a.m.: Eamon Connor of Pittsfield was arrested on North Pleasant Street for OUI liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger, failure to wear a seat belt and failure to stop and yield.

1:50 a.m.: There was a fight on Main Street but the parties fled.

3:39 a.m.: There was a motor vehicle crash on Stanley Street involving UMass students. There were no injuries but they needed assistance.

4:51 a.m.: There was a disturbance at Phi Sigma Kappa on North Pleasant Street. There were males yelling and throwing things at cars in the back parking lot.

8:45 a.m.: There was a disturbance at Cumberland Farms on Montague Road. An 80-year-old man was reported to bothering customers. Apparently Nick the Wild Greek just wanted to use the bathroom and was denied.

11:26 a.m.: There was a suspicious black male wearing coral colored shorts at the Amherst Intermediate Care Facility on North Pleasant Street looking into car windows.

2:39 p.m.: Jeremy Lopez of Worcester was arrested on Belchertown Road for OUI drugs, negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger and his car did not have an inspection sticker. Xylia Seelye of Worcester was also arrested on Belchertown Road on a charge of a warrant initiated by another agency.

2:41 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed on Boltwood Avenue for a confused female.

3:09 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed on Boltwood Avenue for an unconscious individual.

3:19 p.m. Vandalism was reported on a car by Rao’s Coffee on Kellogg Avenue. Three lug nuts and a hubcap were missing from the vehicle.

3:20 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed on Boltwood Avenue for a person going in and out of consciousness.

3:23 p.m.: Alexandra Fonseca of Fairhaven was arrested for possession of alcohol under the age 21.

4:44 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed on Boltwood Avenue for a female suffering from a syncopal episode.

5:47 p.m.: Christine Cummings of Milton was arrested on Meadow Street for OUI liquor and negligent operation of a motor vehicle to endanger.

6:18 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed for a 30-year-old individual recently diagnosed with pneumonia.

6:29 p.m.: A sign was stolen by the Leader Home Center by College Street.

9:10 p.m.: A 13-year-old girl left home after an argument with her mother on Grantwood Drive. The girl was found and the subjects would later seek mediation after the girl agreed to stay in her room for the night.

10:01 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed for a male party drifting in and out of consciousness. When police arrived, he tried to crab walk away and then swung and hit the police officer. He was later transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

Sunday, April 13

12:11 a.m.: Noah Carr of Medford was arrested on McClellan Street for possession of alcohol under the age of 21. Avery Fuerst of Madisonville, La., was also arrested on McClellan Street for unlawful noise.

12:19 a.m.: There was a juvenile arrest for a party in possession of alcohol under the age of 21 on Phillips Street.

12:47 a.m.: Thomas Doherty of Dorchester was arrested on Lincoln Avenue for possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

1:06 a.m.: There was an assault at Club Lit on Boltwood Walk.

1:15 a.m.: Marc Rodrick of Leicester was arrested for assault and battery, serious bodily injury and disorderly conduct. Santo Frascolla of Cherry Valley was arrested for assault and battery, serious bodily injury and disorderly conduct. Joshua Lulu of Leicester was arrested for assault and battery, serious bodily injury, disorderly conduct and a false/misuse of a liquor ID/license after a serious fight on North Pleasant Street.

1:36 a.m.: Reis Gordon was arrested on Phillips Street for being in possession of alcohol under the age of 21 with an open container.

6:28 a.m.: There was vandalism of eight mailboxes.

12:52 p.m.: An exercise ball was stolen from a house porch at Mill Hollow on Summer Street.

1:17 p.m.: A hypodermic needle was found on the ground on Strong Street.

4:51 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed for a heavily intoxicated male at Rao’s Coffee on Kellogg Avenue.

5:32 p.m.: A dog was found on Fearing Street that had Harwich tags.

7:27 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed by Boulder on East Hadley Road for a male suffering from possible allergies to LSD and marijuana. He remained calm and was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

8:30 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed at the Brook on East Hadley Road for a heavily intoxicated, unconscious college male. He was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

10:47 p.m.: Medical assistance was needed for a male having a seizure at Craig’s Place Homeless Shelter on North Pleasant Street. He was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

Monday, April 14

12:19 a.m.: A female had an allergic reaction to sunflower seeds at Ann Whalen on Kellogg Avenue. She was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital by the Amherst Fire Department.

12:43 a.m.: Medical assistance was needed at Southpoint on East Hadley Road for a female suffering from an anxiety attack. She was transported to Cooley Dickinson Hospital was the Amherst Fire Department.

3:58 a.m.: Keith Truehart of Belchertown was arrested for domestic assault and battery and malicious destruction of property with damages over $250.

In regard to Extravaganja, which occurred on Saturday April 12, 2014, many cars were towed, there was heavy traffic and parking was almost non-existent. Approximately 6,500 people were in attendance, which resulted in numerous medical calls and issues with emergency vehicles getting where they needed to be because of traffic. Extravaganja puts a strain on town authorities, and if the event occurs again next year, authorities will make better plans.
