The University of Massachusetts Police Department is currently investigating a burglary that occurred in Washington Hall in the Southwest Residential Area early Friday morning.
According to a University news release, the victim said an unknown person stole his wallet after entering his dorm room. Both the victim and his roommate were asleep at the time of the theft, and the door to their room was unlocked, stated the release.
After waking up while the subject was in the room, the victim believed it might be a friend coming to retrieve something they left behind, said the release. He later discovered, however, that his wallet was missing.
The description of the suspect, as provided by the victim, is a white male with brown hair, approximately five feet 10 inches to six feet tall. UMPD was unavailable for immediate comment regarding any leads about the suspect.
Anyone with information related to the burglary should contact UMPD Officer Nathan Fisher at 413-545-2121. Anonymous tips can be left at 413-577-TIPS.

He left his room unlocked, and then woke up and saw the guy robbing him thinking he was his friend?
Somebody this stupid doesn’t deserve to have their wallet.
